Join the fight against childhood cancer.

Be a voice, because kids can’t fight alone.

The Team Jonah Fund was set up to honor and remember a young man who loved to play baseball. Jonah Hammett’s favorite place to be was on the ball field.

Through different events we raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research, help kids with cancer and their families, and provide ways to help other kids play baseball, all while sharing the love of God.

Funding Childhood Cancer Research

  • Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 minutes.

  • In the US, more children die from cancer than from all other childhood diseases combined.

  • Every day 43 children in the US are diagnosed, and 1 of 8 will not survive.

  • In the last 20 years, only 3 medications have been specifically approved for children.

These are not just statistics. They are children, like yours and mine, like Jonah. Our desire is that one day when a child is diagnosed with cancer, there will be a cure; a cure without devastating side effects, so they will be able to get back to their ballgames and other passions of their lives.

Supporting Youth Athletics

Jonah Hammett’s favorite place to be was on the ball field. Team Jonah has donated to organizations like Southwest Athletics to allow underprivileged children to play baseball who otherwise would be excluded. We believe every child should be able to play, develop skills, and build teamwork and character, whether they can afford it or not.

Giving Children Hope

We believe that children are a gift from God. Because of that, along with funding cancer research and athletics, we also provide Bibles to children and financially support organizations like Destiny Rescue, an operation that saves children from human trafficking and sexual exploitation. We want to bring children hope with the word of God and freedom from terrible circumstances that happens across the globe.

When people hear the name Jonah Hammett the words Courageous, Awe Inspiring, Baseball Loving and Never Give Up are a few that come to mind.

— Jonah was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2012 and despite multiple surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation he remained positive and his faith in God never wavered. Jonah joined God's baseball team on May 8, 2014 but in true Jonah fashion he continues to inspire and motivate his friends, acquaintances and even people who never actually met him but followed his story. Jonah will continue to live on through his family and friends.
